We create underwater landscapes for all aquarium sizes. Flat, endless Slimline backgrounds or opulent 3D aquarium backgrounds with an incredible depth, individual modules or gigantic landscapes: We have a solution for every aquarium size.
Our large modules and giant pieces of driftwood even allow you to create individual layouts in a large tank or a jungle-themed vivarium. A real classic, the Amazonas XXL background is the origin of the aquarium backgrounds. Created, designed and manufactured by our company founder Joel Malmstöm (RIP), this beautiful aquarium background was first presented in 1994 at the Interzoo in Nuremberg. This background made Back to Nature known worldwide and still stands for our brand as high-quality and outstanding natural aquarium decoration.

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Anbietern benötigen Back to Nature Rückwände keine zusätzliche Beschichtung mit Epoxidharz. Das Auftragen einer Schutzschicht aus Epoxidharz ist gesundheitsgefährdend und zeitaufwändig. Unsere Produkte sind ohne Vorbehandlung für Süß- und Meerwasseraquarien sowie für Terrarien einsetzbar. Die Back to Nature Rückwände haben eine fast unbegrenzte Haltbarkeit. Einige Rückwände aus der Gründerzeit von 1989 sind noch immer im Einsatz, ohne nennenswerte Alterungsprozesse zu zeigen.
Harte und beständige Materialien
Die extrem stabile Oberfläche ist besonders widerstandsfähig. Nicht einmal die scharfen Krallen von Reptilien wie Schildkröten und Eidechsen oder raspelnde Algenfresser wie Welse können der stabilen Deckschicht etwas anhaben. Die speziell gehärtete Oberfläche erlaubt im Fall einer erforderlichen Reinigung die Verwendung jeglicher Reinigungsbürsten.
Coloration
No natural rock looks like the other, and since we use natural pigments for our surfaces, sometimes the colors can differ slightly. Especially the red and grey pigments tend to vary naturally.
Inside the aquarium you won’t notice the color differences after a few days, though. Biofilms and natural patina, slight stains in the water and the aquarium lights will equalize these slight differences in color. We will therefore keep using natural raw materials, just as our motto says: “Back to Nature“.
